Specification forming part of Design No. 9,l96, dated April 4, 1876; application filed March 20, 1876. [Terni of Patent 14 years] To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, JULrUs HERRIET, of the city and county of New York and State of New York, have originated and designed a new Design for a Font of Printing-Types, of which the following is a specitication:

The nature of my design is clearly shown in the accompanying typographie impression, to which reference is made; and consists oi' lowercase, capitals, gures, and points, in style a sort of Roman, with the body-marks tapering oli' into very heavy ceriphs, or top and bottom pieces, and with the curves of the rounded letters, such as the C, D, O, &c., also very heavy, and approaching on the outside a peaked form. Each letter is shaded on the right side and bottom by a detached line of uniform thickness or width.
