SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,690, dated April 28, 1891.
Application filed March 5, 1891 Serial No. 383,912. Term of patent 7 years.
To aZZ whom, it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HENRY BREHMER, a citizen of the United States, residing at 2359 First avenue, in the city of New York, county of New York, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Font of Type; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanyingimpression,forming a part thereof.
This design consists of a font of type composed of upper and lower case letters,figures,
.and parts; and it has for its leading features turning suddenly inward. The cross-bar of the letter H is made with a reverse. curve.
"below the line in the 11 above.
The two outside bars of. the M and W are much longer than the two inside ones. The middle bar of the letter N is made with a reverse curve. The top wedges of the X and Y are at an angle to each other.-
The top of the 4 is open and the wedge is thereat. The top of the 8 is flat, and the it is composed of a curve and straight lines, the last terminating in the wedges. The ahas a flat curved top. The bottom of the loop of the b comes to an angle, and the same is true of the p and q. The middle of the e is made with a reverse curve. The g has its dash crossing the loop,and the tail starts on a straight line and then curves. The h, in, n, and s go o, o, v, w, x, and z are like the same capitals.
That I claim is The design for the font of type, substantially as described and shown.
