SAMUEL RIGBY, OF PEORIA, ILLINOIS.
DESIGN FOR A PANEL FOR BICYCLE-POSTS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,896, dated April 13, 1897.
Application filed June 18, 1896. Serial No. 596,069. Term of patent '7 years.

Beit known that I, SAMUEL RIGBY, a citizen of the United States, residingat Peoria, in the county of Peoria and State of Illinois, have invented a certain new and useful Design for a Panel for Bicycle-Posts; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, which will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
My invention relates to a new and original design for a panel for bicycle-posts; and the following is a brief description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, showing the same.
The figure shows the design applied to a bicycle-post.
The leading features of my design consist of the general configuration and the detailed parts that are combined to form the same. It consists of the scrolls at the top of the figure, which unite to form the center piece at the top portion of said figure, that bears downwardly and is continued outwardly on a curve I having the lobed inside portions.
and downwardlyin the straight outside lines The scrolls at the top portion are also continued to form outwardly and inwardly curved lines which cross each other and bear downwardly and have the lobed and enlarged portions, as shown in the drawing, the apex of the said figure being substantially a taper with a pendent portion that terminates at its base in opposite curved parts, below which is placed a round dot and a pointed dot, substantially as shown in the drawing.
