DESIGN FOR A WHlFFLETREE-HOOK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,548, dated May 26, 1896.
Application filed April 17,1896. Serial No. 588,046. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern/.-
Be it known that we, NICHOLAS HAYDEN and CHARLES F. C. WURsT, citizens of the l'nited States, residing at St. Paul, in the county of Ramsey and State of Minnesota, have invented a certain new and useful Design for Wl1ifiietree-liooks; and we do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertainsto make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which forms a part of this specification.
This invention relates to a certain new and useful design for hooks of the character adapted for use as whifiietree-hooks.
The invention is clearly illustrated in the accompanying drawing, which forms a part of this specification, and in which we have shown a perspective view of a hook embodying our design.
The essential feature of our design resides in the body portion of the hook, which is constructed to represent the breast and curved neck and head of a swan, the general outline of the hook in side elevation being that of the letter S reversed, with the lower loop somewhat enlarged.
