DESIGN FOR SPOON-HANDLE.
Specification forming part of Design No. 8,370, dated J une 1, 1875 application lell April 17, 1875. [Term of Patent 7 yeam] OASE C.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, JOSEPH F. FRALEY, of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented a. new Design for Spoon and Fork Handle, of which the following is a specification:
The invention is illustrated in the accompw nying drawing, in which- Figure 1 represents one side of my spoon and fork handle. Fig. 2 shows the opposite side thereof'.
Similar letters indicate corresponding parts.
In the drawing, the letter A designates my spoon and fork handle, one side of which is ornamented by a twist-bead, a, near the junction of the handle, with the bowl of a. spoon or with the head of afork. Said bead extends aeross a series of longitudinal ribs, b, which extend up to, and slightly beyond, n. scroll or band, c, extending across the handle.
The ends of the ribs b form the base for leaves d, from which rises a. bouquet, c, containing various flowers and a buttery, e'. The opposite side of the handle is ornamented by arabesques f, an escutcheon g, andan X -shaped ornament, h, the two branches of which hug a. pendant or drop, i. Near the junction of the handle with the head of a fork or the bowl of a spoon is a scroll, j, and n bunch of leaves, 7c.
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a spoon and fork handle, composed of the bouquet e, butterfly e', leaves d, twist-bead a, and scroll c, as herein shown and described.
