DESIGN FOR A SPOON OR FORK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 15,784, dated February 10, 1885.
Application filed December 10. 1884. Term of oatrnt [-1 years.
To all whont it may concern:
Be it known that I, CHARLES T. GROSJEAN, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city, county, and State of New York, have 5 invented and produced a. new and original Design for :1 Spoon or Fork Handle, of which lhe following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
{ In this design of spoon or fork handle the contour is of a simple plain unbroken outline, extending from the bowl of the spoon or blade of the fork, gradually widening out to near the end of the head. and terminating at the {5 head in an oval form. The front surface is wholly covered with flowers and leaves, no o her features of ornamentation being added thereto.
In we drawings, Figure 1 is a view of the 20 front surface of a spoon containing my design. Fig. 2 is a. view of the front surface of a. fork containing my design.
a a, &c., is the outline, gradually widening out to b b, near the end of the head, and ending 2 in an oval form at a c. d d, 850., are flowers and leaves wholly covering the front surface of the spoon or fork handle within said outline a a, b b, and c 0. These flowers and leaves are as follows: In the upper part of the head of the spoon are leaves and buds interspersed, 30 with daisies and other conventional field flowers immediately beneath them. Beneath these latter-mentioned flowers are roses. rose-buds, and rose leaves extending partly into the Sllftllk. In the shank are placed forget-inenots and other conventional buds and leaves, interspersed, down to the bowl of the spoon.
I ciaim- The design of spoon or fork handle containing on its front surface in the head interspersed leaves and buds, daisies and other conventional field flowers, together with roses, leaves. and buds, and in the shank thereofinterspersed forget-me-nots and other conventional leaves and buds, as described and shown.
