To all whom, it may concern:

Beit known that I, ALEXANDER DoMiNiek, a citizen ofthe United States, residing at New York, in the county and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for the Handles of Spoons, Forks, Knives, Sie.; and I do hereby declare the following specification, taken in connection with the accompanying photographicillustrations, forming a part of the same, to be adescription thereof.

One of said illustrations is a view of the face or front and the other of the back of a spoon whose handle exhibits my design. The out` line of the handle is fiddle-shaped. The face or front has a representation in relief, composed of irregularly-placed scrolls a, extending from the narrow portion or neck of the spoon to the end of the handle, and interzo spersed among the scrolls a corollas or flowers with open petals I). The back of the handle exhibits a grooved bead, c, inclosing a plain surface, d, and at intervals scrolls a, projecting inwardly from the grooved bead, the latter terminating at the end of the handle with 25 scrolls a.

I claim- 1. The design for surface ornamentation of the front face of handles of spoons, forks, or knives, as shown and described.

2. rPhe design for surf-,Lee ornamentation of the rear face of the handles of spoons, forks,or knives, as shown and described.

3. The design lfor surface ornamentation of the handles of spoons, forks, or knives, as 35 shown and described.
