Be itknown that l, l ..l'nLn s Karinnxnnttc, ot' the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for Umbrella-llandle, of which the following is a specification The nature of my design is fully represented in the accompanying photographic illustration, to which reference is made, and in which- Figure represents a perspective View of my improved umbrella-handle; and Fi 2, a horizontal section ot the same on line mm, Fig. 1.

This invention is intended to provide a stylish and elegant design for the handles of umbrellas, parasols, cutlery, and other articles, so that a more finished appearance is intparted to the same; and the design consists of ahandle having'panels or facings, with lougitudinal dividing-ribs, of suitable metal.
In the illustration, A represents a handle,
Whose panels or faeings B are made of mother- Ot'pearl, or other material used tor the better class of handles, which panels are. separated from each other by longitudinal heads or ribs U, of suitable mctal--as, for instance, nickel, gold, &c., of plain, ribbed, or other ornamental surface.
The handle is made, pretl rably, ot' pol ygonal and tapering shape, and the panels of pieces of mother-of-pearl, which contrasts more strikingly with the metallic dividing-ribs, and enhances the ornamental appearance of the same.
I claim as my invention- The design for an ulnbrella-handle composed of the ornamental handle-faeings l and intermediate eom'ex beads (I, raised above the facings at each angle of the polygonal handle, substantially as described, and shown in the accompanying illustration.
