DESIGN FOR ORNAMENTAL VASE.
Specification forming part of Design No. 7,428, dated May 12, 1874; application filed April 21, 1874. [Term of Patent 7 years.]
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, J. W. FISKE, of New York, in the county of New York and State )f New York, have invented certain Improvenents in Design for an Ornamental Vase, of which the following is a specification:
This is a design for an ornamental vase, the iature of which is fully shown in the accomianying photographic illustration.
The bowl consists of two parts, B and O, the .ower part B being a shallow oval basin, with ts upper part curved inward and reduced in liameter where it is united to the part 0, and oeing ornamented on its under exterior suriaee by figures of leaves in relief. The upper portion G is curved outward, and terminates .n a broad oi'erhangin g border, which is sealioped on its edge, and ornamented on its upper surface, as shown. A handle, I), is attached to the bowl on its two opposite sides, the upper portion of the handle being connected to the upper part 0 of the bowl, and
the lower portion of the handle to the lower part B of the bowl. The bowl is supported on a body, A, which is grooved or fluted ver tieally, smallest at its center, where itis surrounded by a small fillet or molding, from whence it curves rapidly outward both above and below, terminating above in an annular scalloped or beaded projection, above which is an annular molding composed of three members of graduallydecreasing diameter, upon which the bowl rests. At the bottom the body A terminates in a rectangular base, to which it is united by an oval or convex molding, ornamented on its exterior surface, all as shown in the photograph.
What I claim as my im'eution is-- The design for avase, substantially as shown and described.
