Be it known that I, JOSEPH W. FISKE, of New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented certain Improvements in Designs for Drinking-Fountains, of which the following is a specification:

This invention consists of a design for a drinking-fountain, of which the following is a complete description, reference being bad to the accompanying photograph, making part of this specification.

A represents the body ofa metallic column, ornamented atits lower part by a portion, B, having a wreath on its opposite sides, with a bead encircling the column above the wreath, and another and larger head or ornamental molding below the wreath, at the junction of the column with its base.

On one side of column A is a basin, D, ornamented on its under surface by a large leaf, the rim of the basin being curved outward, and extended all around the basin, and also along up the column over the basin, and terminating in a scroll at the center, as shown, there being a similar but smaller basin, E, on the opposite side, a little higher up.

A diagonal rib or bead, e, extends around the column, starting from the scroll over the large basin D. and passing below the basin E, and the sides of the column are ornamented by a flower stem or branch, 0, below the rib e, and another one, b, above it. The upper portion I of the column has two beads surrounding it, between which there is a row of circular projecting studs, as shown, and the column terminates in a cap or top piece, 0. made in the form of an urn, having its upper edge turned inward, and provided with the semblance of a cover, terminating in conical top, as clearly shown in the photograph.

I claim as my design- 1. The column A, with the ornamental portion B at its lower end, as set forth.

2. Thediagonal rib c, with the flower-sprays b and 0 arranged on the sides of the column, as set forth.

3. The ornamental top portion I, consisting of the two beads with the interposed row of circular studs, as set forth.

4. The ornamental cap or top piece a, consisting of the urn shaped holly, with the cover terminating in the conical apex, as shown and described.

5. The basins D and E, having the outwardlyprojecting rim, extending around the top thereof, and extending in a curve upward above the basin, and terminating in a scroll at the center over the basin, as herein shown.

6. A design for a drinking-fountain, co||- sisting of the body or column A. provided with the base B, rib e, and ornaments b c, the basins D E, with their curved rims, the ornamental top portion I, and the cap 0, all as herein shown and described.
