A. H. ATwnon; .VEHICLE LAMP.
(Application flhd m. 12, 1900.)
lllll INVENTOR WITNESSES:
ATTORNEY-S UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE. a
ARTHUR H. ATWOOD, OF NEYVARK, NEW JERSEY.
DESIGN FOR A VEHICLE-LAMP.
SPEGIFICATION forming part of Design No; 32,506, dated April 10, 1900;
Application filed March 12, 1900. Serial No. 8,408. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern."
Be it known that I, ARTHUR H. ATWOOD, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Vehicle-Lamps; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, and to letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
The single figure of the drawing shows in perspective a vehicle-lam p of my new design and is thought to sufficiently illustrate the invention.
As shown in the drawing, the leading or material feature of my design consists in a vehicle-lamp having its head shaped in resemblance to a pyramid.
In said drawing a indicates the body of the lamp, said body being rectangular in plan View and provided at the bottom with a stern b.
At the top the walls of said body ct in my newly=designed ,lamp converge suddenly, as at c, and a reduced neck 61 extends to the head 6. Said head 6 at its rectangular base flares abruptly outward from the neck (1, as at e, to represent the eaves of a house-roof, and from the outer edges the walls f of the head converge pyramidally upward, said walls having their surfaces ornamented by lines f of irregular embossments which give the effect of shingling on a roof. A finial ornament g is placed at the top of the head and ventilatorsj on the outer walls of the head.
Having thus described the invention, what I claim as new is The design for a vehicle-lamp, as herein shown and described;
In testimony that Iclaim the foregoing I have hereunto set my hand. this 16th day of January, 1900.
W. J. PossoNs, FLETCHER W. BIRNEY.
