DESIGN FOR A DECANTER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,878, dated April 22, 1902.
Application led February 17, 1902. Serial No. 94,568. Term of patent 7 years.

Be it known that I, ALBERT PICK, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a novel Design for a Decanter; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention.
My invention has for its object to produce a novel and ornamental design for a decanter; and it consists in the novel features of the design hereinafter fully described and claimed.
The accompanying drawing shows a decanter embodying my design in perspective view.
My said design consists in a decanter the body of which, immediately above the base, is provided with a series of inclined flat surfaces arranged. side by side and having curved upper edges. The body of said decanter is of spherical form, terminating in a long neck of polygonal form, the faces of the neck being continued upon the body, flaring outwardly on their lower ends and terminating in curved lower edges.
The zone of the body lying between the base portion and neck portion is provided with depressions or corrugations extending longitudinally and producing an iridescent effect in the glass. The said zone is also provided with an annular row of elliptical flat surfaces at regular intervals, also extending longitudinally on said body. Midway between the ends of the neck is a cylindrical enlargement provided between its ends with an annular' row of elliptical iiat surfaces or depressions spaced at regular intervals. Said neck terminates at its upper end in a flaring mouth, the portion of said neck lying between said cylindrical enlargement and said Haring mouth being polygonal.
I claim as my invention- The design for a decanter, substantially as herein'sliown and described.
