DESIGN.

v SHOE SOLE. (Application fil ed Nov, 23, 1901.
INVENTO/Z Lfo/m Jifiusfiy ATTORNEYS UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
JOHN S. BUSKY, OF BROOKLYN, NEW YORK.
DESIGN FOR A SHOE-SOLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,630, dated January 28, 1902.
Application filed November 23, 1901.. Serial No. 83,488. Term of patent '7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, JOHN S. BUSKY, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the city of New York, borough of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Shoe-Sole, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification, in which similar characters of reference indicate corresponding parts in both the figures.
Figure 1 is a plan View of a shoe-sole, showing my design; and Fig. 2 is an edge view thereof.
The leading feature of mydesign for a shoesole consists in the rib extending longitudinally of the shank and the ribs extending transversely therefrom.
Referring to the drawings, the opposite sides 1 2 of the shank curve inward from the ends and terminate at the junction with the sole in sharp points 3 and terminate at the junction with the heel in sharp points 4, which project laterally of the heel. The front of the heel has two transverse curves, the point of the junction of the two curves being in line with the longitudinal rib 5 on the shank. The transverse ribs 6 are arranged at a slight rearward incline from the longitudinal rib.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The design for a shoe-sole, as herein shown and described In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
JOHN S. BUSKY. Witnesses:
JOHN S. BUsKY, J r., JOSEPH BUSKY.
