( Application filed Nov. 11, 1901.)
INVENTOH I JTBuqky ATTUHNE-Y' UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
JOHN S. BUSKY, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FOR A SHOE-SOLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,569, dated January 7, 1902.
Application filed November 11, 1901. Serial ITO- 81,956. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it ntay concern:
Be it known that 1, JOHN S. BUSKY, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the city of New York, borough of Manhattan, in the county and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Shoe-Sole, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification, in which Figure 1 is a plan View of a shoe-loottorn, showing my design; and Fig. 2 is an edge view thereof.
The leading feature of my design for a shoebottom consists in the lateral projections at the junction of sides of the shank with the heel, the said projections extending outward from the side planes of the heel.
A minor feature of the design resides in forming the front of the heel with a transverse donhle curve.
Referring particularly to the drawings, 1 indicates the sole of the shoe, and 2 the shank, the opposite edges of which are curved inward between the ends, and at the junction of said edges and the heel 3 are the lateral projections 4. Theshankisslopedorinclinedfroniits longitudinal center to its opposite edges, and the front of the heel is curved inward from its center to the opposite sides.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The design fora shoe-sole as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
JOHN S. BUSKY. Witnesses:
MORRIS GLUOKMAN, O. M. ORMSTEDT.
