PETER F. GREENWOOD, OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR A HORSESHOE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 18,215, dated March 2'7, 1888.
Application filed January 16, 1888. Serial No. 260,953. Term of patent 7 years.
To aZZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, PETER F. GREENWOOD, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented a new and original Design for a Horseshoe, of which the following is a. specification.
My design for a horseshoe is fully illustrated in the accompanying drawing, the View in which is a face view of the shoe.
The shoe is wide and rounded at the toe portion and diminishes in width as it nears the heel portion. The two side portions, a a, of the shoe gradually increase in width from the heels 6 b to the toe d, and have at each side grooves e e and deep recesses f. The shoe is provided at the toe with an enlargement, i, the edges 0 c of which follow the contour of the shoe, while the edges 9 g taper toward the center of the shoe, and at the heels b b are projections b b.
I claim- The herein'described design for ahorscshoe having the outline illustrated, comprising the two side portions, a a, an enlargement, a, at the toe portion, with edges 0 0, following the contour of the shoe, and tapering sides g all substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
PETER F. GREENWOOD.
