ABEL D. TYLER, JR, OF BROCKTON, MASSACHUSETTS.
DESIGN FOR A SHOE-FORM.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,903, dated November 23, 1897.
Application filed September 2, 1897. Serial No. 650,406. Term of patent 7 years.
.['0 all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ABEL D. TYLER, Jr., a citizen of the United States, residing at Brockton, in the county of Plymouth and State of Massachusetts, have invented and prod need a new, useful, and original Design for Shoe- Forms, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part hereof.
My design consists, essentially, of a shoeform having a recess therein from the crown toward the bottom part thereof, the said recess having plane vertical side walls and a plane horizontal bottom wall, part of the recess beingin the fore part of the form and part in the heel portion, the rear wall being slightly shorter than the forward wall and the upper surface of the heel portion being horizontal, and an upright extending above said horizontal upper surface of the heel portion, as shown in the drawings, wherein Figure 1 represents a top plan view 0 a shoe-form embodying my design, and Fig. 2 represents a side elevation thereof.
1 is the fore part or vamp-block, and 2 is the heel part or quarters-block.
4 is the recess, which has forward vertical plane side wall 5 in the fore part and vertical plane side wall 7 in the heel part, the latter being slightly shorter than the former, one half of the bottom wall, 6, being in the fore part of the form and the other half, 8, being in the heel part.
9 represents the upright extending above the horizontal upper surface of the heel part.
The line of division between the fore part and the heel part is indicated at 12.
\Vhat I claim is The design forashoe-form substantially as herein shown and described.
