GEORGE lV. RNAM, OF CANTON, OHIO, ASSIGNOR TO THF. lUClllilR ('illlllS PLOlV COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESlGN FOR A SHOE FOR PLOWS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,125, dated January 23, 1900.
Application filed December 2, 1899. Serial No. 739,051. Term of' patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.:
Be it known .that I, GEORGE \V.REA1I, L citizen of the United States, residing at Canton, in the county of Stark and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Shoes for Plows, of which the following is a specification.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure l represents in elevation the inner side of a landside-shoe embodying my design. Fig. 2 is a plan of the same. Fig. 3 is an elevation of the outer side. Fig. 4 is a front View.
The invention is a shoe to support the landside of a plow, and the leading feature of the design resides in the outline shape of the shoe. A secondary feature is the surface configuration. As shown in Fig. 1, the inner face A of the shoe is substantially plain, except for a ange a on its lower edge. This part increases slightly in width toward the front to the point b, and from thence the upper edge inclines downwardly toward the front. A wing B projects from the inner face of the part A, extending rearwardly and also cnrw ing downwardly, as shown in Figs. 1, f3, and 4. The opposite face of the shoe is shown at C in Fig. 3, in which there are e. series of recesses c, separated by vertical projections d. The wing B is made up oi' two surfaces, joining each other by a shoulder' at e, but of different inclinations. From point b the upper edge of the shoe curves downwardly and merges into the upper straight edge of the shoe.
What I claim is- The design for :t shoe as herein shown and described.
