W. A. NEELY.

UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
WILLIAM A. NEELY, OF LYNN, MASSACHUSETTS.
DESIGN FOR A SHOE.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, WILLIAM A. N EELY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Lynn,
in the county of Essex and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and useful Design for a Shoe, of which the following is a description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part 7 thereof.
Figure 1 is a front perspective view of a shoe illustrating my design, and Fig. 2 is a side elevation of the shoe shown in Fig. I.
The leading feature of my design consists in lines of double beading arranged at each side of and substantially in parallelism with the edges of the front opening of the upper,
on the quarters and extending around the heel portion of the upper, simulating foxing,
and across the toe portion of the vamp to sirnu presenting to the eye the appearance of a side stay at each side of the opening, having an ornamental edge finish. Aline b of the beading is also shown as arranged along the quarters, starting from the point I) and inclining upwardly and rearwardly and extended around the heel portion, thus presenting to the eye the appearance of foxin g. I have also shown a line 0 of the heading arranged transversel y across the toe portion of the vamp and thereby giving the siinilitude of a separate tip.
My design comprises a shoe having the double beading applied at all of the points described, as Well as at any of them.
Having fully described my invention What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a shoe, substantially as herein shown and described.
