DESIGN FOR A SHOE-LAST.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design N 0. 32,520, dated April 10, 1900.
Appiieation filed March 6, 1900. Serial No. 7,602. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FRED I. OLDs, a citizen of the United States, residing at Berea, in the county of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Shoe-Last-, and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
This invention relates to a new and original design for a shoe-last; and it consists of a shape and configuration as shown in the accompanying drawing and hereinafter described.
In the drawing the iast is shown in perspective.
A designates a sole-piece having a marginal head or flange B, which extends upward from the sole-piece and encompasses the entire edge of the sole. The sole-piece is conveniently thin and substantially fiat.
C designates the socket portion, extending upwardly and having one side open. The
base of the socket is shown larger than the upper end.
D is a rib inclined and tapered, the same extending from the toe centrally along the sole-piece backward and terminating at the front wall of the socket member. Its upper edge is curved, as shown, and at the forward end joins and is flush with the upper edge of the flange ii.
The essential features of the design are the sole-pieee having the marginal flange or head, the central flange or rib, and the socket.
