DESIGN FOR A SHOE-LACE FASTENING.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,793, dated June 7, 1898.
Application filed May 5,1898, Serial No. 679,355. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern- Be it known that I, BENHARD JOHNSON, a citizen of the United States, residing in Boston, in the county of Suffolk and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Shoe-Lace Fastenings, of which the following description, in connection with the accompanying drawings, is a specification, like letters on the drawings representing like parts.
The design relates to a shoe-lace fastening; and it consists of a fastening distinguished by its peculiar shape, as will be hereinafter set forth and claimed.
Figure 1 is a top or plan view of a shoelace fastening embodying this design, and Fig. 2 a side elevation of the fastening shown in Fig. 1.
The leading and distinguishing feature of this invention consists in a shoelace fastening of the shape or configuration shown, and consists of a continuous wire havingthe substantially straight vertical portion or end a, from which the side a" extends substantialh at right angles thereto and which is joined by the cross-piece a to the side a occupying substantially the same plane as the side a, and from the end of which extends back toward the cross-piece (t between the sides a a, the portion or length a, which lies in sub stantially the same plane as the sides (1 a, and from which extends the straight end portion a".
I claim- The design forashoe-laee fastening herein shown and described.
