DESIGN FOR AN ADVERTISING PUZZLE-SHEET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,568, dated January 7, 1902.
Application filed December 13, 1901. Serial No. 85,858. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, CHARLES E. JA UEs, a citizen of the United States, residing at Oakpark, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Advertising Puzzle- Sheets; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying description, forming a part thereof.
My invention relates to advertising puzzlesheets; and my object is to produce a design arranged with pattern of a puzzle and space arranged about the pattern adapted for printed matter, such as advertisements and a description of the puzzle.
The drawing forming a part of this specification shows a plan View of my design, the leading feature of which is composed of four T-shaped patterns arranged in pairs, with a space between each pair, the patterns being each divided into squares which, except the bottom square of each pattern, contain one of a series of four figures. I
A A A A denote the four patterns,arranged in pairs, with a space B between each pair. The vertical portions of each pair of patterns are arranged parallel in juxtaposition.
C denotes the squares, separated by dotted lines 0, containing figures of cans D.
E E denote blank spaces upon each side.
The spaces B and E E are adapted for advertisements anddirections for the puzzle.
