DESIGN FOR A GAME-BOARD.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,444, dated July 2'7, 1897.
Application filed May 10, 1897. Serial No. 685,942. Term of patent 3i years.
To all whom it may concern:
3e it known that weJVALTEE ll. SMITH and WILLIAM M. IIAMILTON,CitiZel1S of theUnited States, residing at Marlboronglnin the county of Middlesex and State of l\:lassaehusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Gamedloards, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure l is a plan view of our new and original design for a game board. Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view thereof.
The leading features of the design consist of a gameboard rectangular in outline having a beaded periphery, a series of stars, and a series of bars with a series of holes within the stars and bars.
1 represents the frame or body of the gameboard.
5. represents the border or framing of the main body 1.
3 represents a reetangularspaee in the upper left-hand corner of the board containing a number of stars 1 corresponding to the number of States in the Union.
5 represents the thirteen bars of the United States flag extending horizontally, as shown. 6 represents a series of holes in the bars 5.
7 represents the flngstaii of the flag, and S a conventional scroll or turning up of the bottom of the flag.
The holes 9 and G are designed to receive a peg or pegs, in the use of the board, in playing upon the game-board.
9 represents the holes in the stars 4, there being a hole in every star.
The representation of the ilagstaif 7 and the scroll 8 may be omitted.
