To all whom it may concern-t Be it known that I, ROBERT T. CARR, a citizen of the United States, residing at Detroit, county of Wayne, State of Michigan, have invented a certain new and useful Improvement in Game-Boards, of which the followthe accompanying drawings, which form a part of this specification.

My invention has for its object a novel game-board; and it consists of'the constructionhereinafter described and claimed, and illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which f Figure 1 is a plan view. Fig. 2 is a view in section on the line 2 2. Fig. 3 is an enlarged partial-sectional view.

The object of my invention is to provide a novel game-board of simple and economical construction, and I carry out my invention as follows:

The game-board consists, essentially, of a base (1, upon which is engaged a perforated or recessed plate or disk I). The base a and disk I) might, within the scope of my inven tion, be formed in a single integralpiece, but for simplicity and economy of construction I prefer to construct them in two separate parts properly secured together, as by gluing the disk uponthe base or in any other desired manner; The plate or disk I) is constructed with a series of pockets or perforations, (indicated at c.) For convenience of manufacture it will be desirable to bore said pockets or perforations through the disk. I prefer also to place in the bottom of the pockets corresponding pieces of felt d, or of other suitable material. At the base of the pockets I locate, as upon the base of felt, various numbers, as shown, running, preferably from zero. The numerals are preferably employed in multiples of five, although I do not limit myself solely thereto. The top of the perforated disk is also preferably provided with acovering of felt, (indicated 6.) About the base a I prefer to locate a molding, (indicated at f,) the molding being preferably recessed or rabbeted on its surface adjacent to the base, as shown, the upper portion of the molding preferably projecting over upon the upper surface of the base. The periphery of the disk is preferably beveled. The' game is designed to be provided with a series of buttons, one of which is indicated at h, as many buttons being provided as may be desired and of differplay together, the idea of the game being for the player standing at the desired distance upon the board and into the pockets of the game-board, the score being made up by summing up the numerals in the pockets into which the buttons have been thrown. Any desired rules, however, of the game. may be provided. The perforated disk being located upon the base and the base provided with a molding projecting upward about the edge thereof, it is obvious that a receptacle is thus provided about the perforated disk to receive the buttons which may be thrown over the edge of the disk.

I prefer to bore the perforations in the disk in parallel rows, the rows extending parallel to each other in both directions at right angles the one to the other. Thus there-maybe' preferably three parallel rows extending in the direction of the arrow, Fig. 1, each row having five perforations. At each side of the central triple rows are additional parallel rows of pockets, each having three pockets. The rows also extend parallel to each other in the direction indicated by the sectional line, Fig. 1, the rows being similarly arranged in both said directions at right angles to each other.

What I claim as my invention is 1. A game-board comprising a base provided with a series of pockets upon the upper of the base, and a covering of fabric, located upon the upper surface of the base about said pockets.
