DESIGN.
J. B. H. TRAINER.
GAME BOARD No. 26,168. Patented 0013.6,1896.
Q Q Q UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
DESIGN FOR A GAME-BOARD.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,168, dated October 6, 1896.
Application filed July 14, 1896. Serial No. 699,194. Tenn of patent 3; years 1'0 all whom it may COILCGI'FL.
Be it known that I, .Ionx llt'nnows lL\I.L TRAINER, a citizen of the United States, ie siding at Willianisport, in the county of Lyeoming and State of Pennsylvania, have invent-ed and produced a new and original Design for Puzzle or Game Boards, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof, said drawing being a plan view of my puzzle or game board.
The leading feature of my invention consists in a board A, which is rectangular in form and square, and said board is provided centrally with the picture or representation of a chair, as shown at 13, around which is a shield (I, or said chair or the picture thereof is placed on the picture or the representation of the shield, and arranged around the shield and chair in the form of a square are eight spaces 1), which are represented by circles, and iueloslug the square thus formed and near the edges of the board are eight other spaces, which a re also represented by circles, one of which is placed at the corner of the board and one about midway of each side, and tho corner-spaces E and l) are connected by diagonal lines G, which extend from thecor ners of the board to the shield and the cent ral spaces I)a nd E are connected by transverse lines It, which also extend to the central shield.
The design thus produced is regular and symmetrical in form and attractive to the eye. The principal features of said design consist in the arrangement of the spaces 1) and E, the shield t, and the chair 1;, and additional spaces D and E may be provided without essentially changing the design, the only requirement in this connection being that said spaces be arranged, as shown, in the form of a square.
Having fully described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent The design for puzzle or game board, herein shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my invention Ihave signed my name, in presence of the subscribing witnesses. this 0th day of July, lSEH.
