UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
JACOB W. BROWN, OF BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS.
DESIGN FOR A GAME-BOARD OR SlMlLAR ARTICLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,397, dated October 16, 1900. Application filed May 3| 1900. serial No. 15.422. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JACOB W. BROWN, a citi- ..an of the United States, residing at Boston, (Oharlestown,) in the county of Suffolk and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Game-Board or SimilarAi-ticle; and I dohereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exactdescription of the same, reference being had lo the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
This invention relates to a design for a new and original game-board or similar article.
As shown in the drawing, the design comprises a flat plane rectangular surface A, provided with a large central circular field B, within which are arranged a number of small fields or spaces of similar size and design and which are numbered 1 2 3 4, (he. each of these spaces bearinga diiferent number. The small spaces 1 2 3 4, &c., are not arranged regularly or in a particular order and are not equidistan t, but are variously spaced from each other and in the manner shown. Besides the said small spaces 1 2 3 4, &c., two other small spaces 0 and D are provided, which are distinguished from the other small spaces and from each other. Extending from each of the small spaces 1 2 3 4, &c., to one or more of the adjacent spaces are paths or narrow ways E of relatively different length and arranged as shown. Each of the spaces (J and D is also connected by similar paths or ways, arranged as shown, to the adjacent small spaces.
The essential features of the design are a large field having therein the small spaces 1 2 3 4, &c., arranged at varying distances from each other and connected by the paths, and the two spaces C- and D, distinguished from each other, connected to adjacent small spaces, substantially as shown.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Pat.- ent, is-
The design fora gameboard or similar article, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I aifix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
