Application filed June 7, 1897. Serial No. 639,764. Term of patent 3% years.

Be it known that we, JOHN B. MOFFAT, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Yonkers, county of VVestchester, and State of New York, and WILLIAM F. BROWN a 5 7 10 following is a specification.

This invention comprises two partsnamely, the design A fora carpet and the design I3 for a border; and we do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification i5 conveys to any one a clear understanding of the same and is sufficient to enable such person to use our invention.

The design A is characterized by large clusters of leaf and flower forms.

The design 13 is characterized by a panel of large clusters of leaf and flower forms.

What we claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

1. In a design for a carpet, the body A, substantially as shown.

2. In a design for a carpet, the border B, substantially as shown.

3. The design for a carpet comprising the body A and the border B, substantially as shown.
