DESIGN FOR A CHEESE.

Be it known that I, NICHOLAS SIMON, a citi- Zen of the United States, residing at Neenah, in the county of Winnebago and State of Wisconsin, have invented and produced a new and Original Design for a Cheese, of which the following is a specification, reference being` had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.

Figure l is a perspective view of the upper Or top side of a cheese and two of its edges, showing my new design. Fig. 2is a perspective view of the reverse or bottom side and the other two edges, and Fig. 3 is a vertical section across the middle of Fig. l from left to right.

As shown in the drawings, the leading features of my design consist of a square cheese having a series of V-shaped grooves 1, which divide the cheese into small rectangular sections, said V-grooves being arranged directly opposite each other upon opposite sides of the cheese. They further consist of a series of half-circle grooves 2, arranged near the Outer edges of each small rectangular section upon the top side of the cheese and forming thereby a series of smaller rectangular sections Or name-plates for receiving any desired inscription.

The four edges of the cheese are plain and smooth.

Having thus described my said invention, what I claim as new, and desire t0 secure by Letters Patent, is-

The design for a cheese as herein shown and described.
