UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
HERMAN G. BEACH AND HARRY W. WILCOX, OF WATERTOWN, NEW YORK.
DESIGN FOR A PUZZLE-BOARD.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,015, dated August 27, 1901.
Application filed July 20, 1901. Serial No. 69,156. Termof patent 7 years.
T0 all whom it may concern:
Beit known that we, HERMAN G. BEACH and HARRY W.WILCOX,citizens of the Un ited States, residing at Watertown, in the county of Jeiferson, State of New York, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for Puzzle-Boards, of which the following is a speciiication, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 is a plan View of a puzzle-board, showing the new design; and Fi g. 2 is a crosssection thereof upon the line 2 2.
As shown in the drawings,'the leading or material feature of the design consists of the series of circular figures extending in parallel lines at a right angle to each other to form a cross having arms of equal length, said iigures being connected together by diamondshaped figures radiating from a central circular figure, thus producing an arrangement of four rectangular figures at the different sides of a central rectangular iigure. The
body A is circular in outline and provided at the periphery with an annular wall A', eX- tending at an angle to the body. Upon this bodyA series of circular gures B and B are arranged in three parallel rows, two series of said iigures extending at a right angle to each other, so as to form a cross having arms of equal length. The central row B' of circular figures in each series has radiating from one figure thereof a series of diamond-shaped figures C, which terminate at the outer circular figures of each parallel row and the adjacent figures of the central row B. This arrangement of the circular andl diamond shaped iigures presents a grouping of four rectangular gures about a central rectangular figure, each of said rectangular figures being composed of the diamond-shaped figures so proportioned as to terminate at the circular tigures forming the outline of the rectangular figure. mond-shaped figures are embodied in each element of the main design.
Having described our invention, what we claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a puzzle-board as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof we affix our signatures in presence of two witnesses.
