ADOLPH A. CAILLE, OF DETROIT, MICHIGAN, ASSIGNOR TO THE CAILLE-SCI-IIEMER COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A GAME-BOARD.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,231, dated March 12, 1901.
Application filed February 4, 1901. Serial No. 46,033- Term of patent '7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ADOLPH A. CAILLE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Detroit, in the county of Wayne and State of Michigan, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for a Grame- Board, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawings, in whieh- Figure l is a perspective view of the gaineboard embodying my invention, and Fig. 2 is a side elevation thereof.
The reference-letter A designates the board proper, oblong in configuration and having a squared end B, provided with a raised edge portion C and enlarged corners D and E. As shown, these corners are in the form of fiat rectangular panels arranged in the same plane with the edge portion C and projecting beyond the sides of the board proper. The opposite or outer end F of the said board is rounded, as illustrated, and is provided with an upwardly-projecting flange G, extending about the edge of the board and terminating abruptly in shoulders G below the enlarged corners, as plainly shown.
H and H designate ornamental brackets in the same horizontal plane as the panels which connect the outer corners I thereof with the flange G.
J and J designate ribs projecting forwardly from the inner portions of the enlarged cor ners and spaced from the flange Gr, as shown.
K designatesa series of smaller ribs spaced from each other and projecting forward from the raised edge C, as shown.
The forward end of the board is supported by a single curved leg L, while the inner or squared portion of the board is supported by similar legs M of less length than the single support referred to and depending from the enlarged corners, as illustrated.
O represents a series of apertures in the board proper, arranged in the shape of a diamond, and P designates a leg depending from al central portion of the raised rib and hollowed out to form a pocket, as plainly shown.
The essential feature of the invention consists of the rounded outer or forward board end and a squared inner end provided With enlarged corners in the form of dat rectanguiar panels, the ornamental scrollwork connecting the corners to the board proper and the curved su pporting-legs arranged beneath the outer board end and the enlarged corners, as shown.
What I claim as my invention is- The design for a game-board, substantially as herein shown and described.
