\VOLVERINE MANUFACTURING COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A TABLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,752, dated October 15, 1895.
Application filed July 11, 1895. Serial No. 555,666- Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern.
Be it known that I, HENRY JOHNSON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Detroit, in the county of Wayne and State of Michigan, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Table, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing.
The table is shown in a single perspective View.
The leading feature of the design is the configuration and ornamentation of the legs.
The table-legs are each composed of a lower inwardly-curved portion A and an upper outwardly curved or bowed portion B. The lower end of the portion B, at the juncture of the two portions A and B, is forked, as shown at C, and each member of the fork extends inwardly in substantially a horizontal plane.
D is a substantially triangular-bracket filling portion between each of the fork members and the upper portion of the section A.
The curved portion of the section B is ornamented by beading E and terminates at its upper end in the scrolls F, branched there from at substantially right angles to each other. Above each of these scrolls, which latter are for the lower edges thereof, are the wings or plates H, which are ornamented on their faces. Between the wings II and extending from between the scrolls F is the oval field I, ornamented as shown. Upon the top of the wings is the fiat top I, and upon the lower end of the section B is the fiat shelf J.
What I claim as my invention is- The design for a table substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I afiix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
HENRY JOHNSON. Witnesses:
