FRANK STEIVART, OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, ASSIGNOR TO THE STOCKIlAlli MANUFACTURING COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A TABLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,761, dated December 6, 1898.
Application filed September 16,1898. Serial No. 691,164. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FRANK STEWART, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Tables, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 illustrates a table of my new design by a perspective view, and Fig. 2 illustrates the same by a plan view.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists of the top A, surmounting the bowed legs E. The top has a frame B of general rectangular shape, with a center C, representing onyx. The ornamental open-work of the frame is in the general style of Louis XVI ornamentation, Z representing fantastic leaves disposed between a central medallion m in each side of the frame and a medallion m in each corner-piece 0,and the connections n,between the medallions m and corner-pieces, are curved, as shown. The legs E, which are disposed at the corners of the top, are of the general 8 shape illustrated and are provided on their outwardly-bulging portions with ornamental fieur-de-lis shields g. At the inwardly-bulging sections of the legs they meet the blunted corners 7c of ashelf D, having concave sides 11, inclosing open-work ornamentation h of general acanthus-foliage design, and the fastenings for the shelf are embellished with ornamental heads f.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a table, as herein shown and described.
FRANK STEIVART.
