SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,537, dated November 13, 1900.

Application filed October 16, 1900- erial No. 33,297. Term of patent 14 years.

To (nil whom, it may concern.-

Ee it known that I, FREDERICK \VILLIAM GRELL, a citizen of the United States, resid' ing at New York, (College loint,) county of Queens, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Combs, of which the following is a specification.

My design consists, essentially, of a comb the back of which at its sides is protuberant and ribbed.

In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 is a side elevation of a comb embodying my design. Fig. :3 is a cross-sectional view of a comb embodying my design and drawn to a larger scale than Fig. 1.

Similar letters of reference designate corresponding parts in both of the figures.

A represents the back of a comb, and B the teeth of the comb. The back at the lower portion of its sides is protuberant, as shown at (L. The edges of the teeth Bare extended upward and form ribs (L2, which project from the protnbelant portions (1. The spaces (1' between the ribs are rounded transversely.

The leading or essential feature of my de sign is the ribbed and protuberant portion on each side of the comb-back.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

The design for a comb substantially as herein shown and described.
