DESIGN FOR A BICYCLE-CRANK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,640, dated September 11, 1894.
Application flied August 10, 1894- Seriai No. 519,978. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, WILLIAM J. GRINDEN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Brooklyn, in the countyof Kings and State of New York, have invented anew Design fora Bicycle-Crank, of which the following is a specification.
Theleading feature of this design for a bicycle crank consists in the shape of the crank with rounding ends and tapering shank grooved longitudinally, the ends of the grooves being rounding.
In the drawings:Finnre 1. is a side view of a bicycle crank, showing my design, and Fig. 2. is a cross section of the same, at the line a. a.
The ends a. and Z). of the crank are rounding and the shank is tapering and grooved at c. 0. so that the section of the shank is similar to a cross as seen in Fig. 2. and the ends 20 of the grooves are rounding as shown.
I claim The design fora bicycle crank substantially as described and shown.
