DESIGN FOR A DIE-SHOE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,102, dated December 28, 1897.
Applicaticn filed November 2, 189?. Serial No. 657,222. Term of patent 7 years.
To ali whom it may concern:
Beit known that I, FREDERIC C. BILLINGS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Hartford, in the county of Hartford and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Die-Shoe, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact specification.
Figure I of the accompanying drawings is a plan or top View of a die-shoe embodying my present design, while Fig. 2 is aside View thereof projected from Fig. I. Fig. 3 is an end viewof the die-shoe of Figs. 1 and 2 projected from the latter figure. Fig. 4 is an end viewin section taken on the line l 4 of Fig. l, showing the inner side of the upper end of the dieshoe of the latter figure.
Similar characters designate like parts in all of the figures of the drawings.
The leading characteristics of this design are best apparent in Figs. 1 and l, and comprisea die-shoe havinga sunken central panel or depression 6, bounded upon its longitudinal sides by the raised margins 7 and S and bounded upon its ends by the raised bosses il and l0. These bosses are raised somewhat above the side margins 7 and 8, with one of which they are preferably integral.
The design herein shown and described is especially intended for die-shoes to be used in connection With drop-hammers and similar machinery and forms a graceful member which harmonizes with the prevailing style and patterns of such machines.
I claim- The design for a die-shoe herein shown and described.
