Application filed pril 1 1901- Seriibl Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it Way concern:
Be it known thatI, IRVING E. BROWN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Providence, in the county of Providenceand State of Rhode Island, have invented and produced a new and original Design for the Insulating- Block of Electric Lamps, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure 1 is a side view of the insulatingblock, showing my design. Fig. 2 is an edge view of the same. Fig. 3 is a view of the pointed end, and Fig. a is a transverse sectionalwiew of the insulatingblock.
As shown in the drawings, the leading and material features of the block consist in the dovetail-shaped ribs on each side and the pointed end. The body a, of the block has on the two opposite sides the ribs b 6, extending longitudinally on the sides. The edges of these ribs are undercut to give to them the co nventional dovetail shape. The conical-shaped cavities c c are formed in the ribs 1) 1). One end of the block is beveled on the opposite sides to form the point 01.
Having thus described my invention, What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
