DESIGN FOR A CLIP.
SPECIFICATION forming part Of Design No. 26,639, dated February 16, 1897.
Application filed November 18, 1896. Serial No. 612,833- Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JEROME SrIvERs, a citizen of the United States, residing at New Rochelle, in the county of \Vestehester and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Clips, of which the following is a specification.
The figure in the drawing is a perspective view of a clip embodying the invention.
The leading feature of my design consists in the clip, provided with spurs projecting from the in ner faces of the yoke and the crossbar, and also in extensions projecting from the edges of the yoke.
In the drawing, A designates the yoke, B the cross-bar connecting the ends of the yoke, and O C the nuts securing the crossbar on the ends of the yoke.
The yoke A in configuration is substantially U-shaped. Its ends are shaped to form screw-threads a a. From the inner face a of the fiat portion of the yoke spur-shaped projections a n extend.
