SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,261, dated July 18, 1899.
Application filed June 12, 1899. Serial No. 720,3G5. Term of patent 14 years.
To aid whom it may concern Be it known that I, MORRIS E. CONN, acitizen of the United States, residing in the cityof Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for the Male Member of a Printers Device for Looking aForm of Type in a Chase, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification.
My invention relates to a novel design in form or configuration of the male member of a device used by printers for locking a form of type in chases and frames and is comprised within the technical term furniture; and my new design for such device is shown in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective View from one side of the device, and Fig. 2 is a like view from the opposite side.
The design consists of the straight-faced end portion A, having a projecting arm C at right angles thereto, said projecting arm being provided on each of its sides fora part of its iength with serrated ribs or flanges d d, adapted to be em ployed with an opposite memher described in an application for patent, Serial No. 707,224, filed by me February 26, 1899.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new is- The design for the male member of a de vice for securing a form of type &c. in chases and frames, substantially as described.
