DESIGN FOR A GLASS OR LIGHT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,002, dated January 10, 1899.
Application filed December 17, 1898. Serial No. 699,607. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom, it may 0071 0077!- Be it known that I, lVILLIAM I JACOBS, of the borough of Brooklyn, New York city, in the State of New York, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for a Glass or Light; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective view of a glass or light embodying my design, and Fig. 2 a crosssection of same.
Letters of like name and kind refer to like parts in each of the figures.
The object of my invention is to provide a design for a glass or light for illuminatinggratings; and to this end said invention consists in the design for a glass or light, substantially as hereinafter set forth.
The leading feature of my design consists of parallel ribs on the glass or light, each of Which has a straight or plane side and a side formed by surfaces making an obtuse angle and having its base portion flared or widened out on each side.
The glass is in the form of a rectangular plate A, having on one side a series of uniform angular projections a and a, and upon the 0pposite side a series of parallel ribs 15 and B, each of which has a straight or plane side I) and a side 1), formed by surfaces making an obtuse angle and having its base flared 0r widened out on each side.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim is The design for a glass or light, substantially as shown and described.
