DESIGN FOR A PATTERN FOR PLUSH OR PILE FABRICS.
SPECIFICATION formingpart of Design No. 25,901, dated August 4, 1896.
Application Sled April 11, 1896. Serial No. 587,230. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, CHARLES M. AIKMAN, a citizen of the United States, residingat Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Plush or Pile Fabrics; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
Figure 1 is a plan of a portion of a plush o1' pile fabric; and Fig. 2 is a sectional view of the same, the two views being deemed snicient to fully illustrate nIy design.
The leading feature of my design consists in the pattern for plush or pile fabric with the pile bers of the obverse side in raised squares.
In said drawings, a indicates the plush or pile fabric, b the square raised pilose and Velvety blocks on the obverse side thereof, the outer faces of which blocks are convex, as indicated at c in Fig. 2, and said blocks being disposed in parallel series and in series at right angles one with another, as shown in Fig. l.
What I claim is- The design for a pattern for plush or pile fabrics, substantially as herein shown and described.
