- UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
FRANKLIN A. LUOE, OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS.
DESIGN FOR AN APPAREL BELT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design NO. 34,682, dated June 18, 1901. Application filed May 13, 1901. Serial No. 60,122. Term of patent 3% years.
:0 Figure 1 is a perspective view showing my new design. Fig. 2 is asectional view on the line m a: of Fig. 1, and Fig. 3 is a sectional view on the line y y of Fig. 1.
My invention relates to a new and original :5 design for apparel-belts, and the essential feature thereof resides in an apparel-belt having upon the outer surface of the main or body portion a longitudinally-corrugated appearance and having extending from such .0 longitudinally-corrugated portion two gradually-widening ends that are each divided into a series of faces wider at their outer ends than at their inner ends, said inner ends each merging into one of the corrugations referred to.
Referring to the accompanying drawings, A indicates the belt as a whole, upon the ma terial composing the outer face of which is formed a series of tucks a, that extend longi tudinally of the belt and parallel with each other, such tucks standing out sufficiently to give the belt a longitudinally-corrugated appearance. These tucks a, that impart the appearance of longitudinal c0rrugati0ns,extend for the entire length of the belt except on its ends B B, which ends, as shown, gradually increase in width from where they leave the main or body portion of the belt. These ends 13 B are each divided into a series of faces I), each of greater width at its outer end than at its inner end and each of said narrow inner ends merging into one of the tucks a.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is Y The design for an apparel-belt, as herein shown and'described.
In testimony whereof I i have hereunto signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing Witnesses.
