JAY L. TORREY, OF EMBAR, IVYOMING.

SPECIFICATION forming' part f Design No. 32,726, dated May 29, 1900.
Application file-d May 7, 1900. Serial No. 15,836. Term of patent 14 years.
To @ZZ whom it may concern.:
Be it known that I, JAY L. TORREY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Embar, in the county of Big Horn and State of Wyoming, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Spoon, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to a new and original design for spoons and is shown in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a top plan view, and Fig. 2 a longitudinal section.
The leading feature of my design resides in a spoon having a bowl the rim of which has an ovoid outline, a fiat bottom, and a Wall inclining from the bottom to the rim, a handle which at the bowl is in the semblance of a hinge and extends therefrom in diverging lines with a centrally-depressed portion, followed by a central superposed converging part having an upturned extremity and an ornamental extending finger end.
In the accompanying drawings the reference-numeral 1 indicates the bowl, the rim 2 of which is ovoid in configuration. It has a fiat bottom 3 and a wall 4, which inclines from the bottom to the rim.
The numeral 5 indicates the handle, which at the rim presents the appearance of a hinge G and has a central depression extending outwardly from the bowl.
The numeral 8 indicates the central converging' superposed part, terminating in an upturned end E). Beyond this upturned end extends the ornamental finger end l() of the spoon.
My design presents a spoon of novel, attractive, and distinguished appearance.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim is The design for a spoon as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand in presence of two subscribing witnesses.
