To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, RICHARD E. ACTON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Alexandria, in the county of Alexandria and State of Virginia, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Spoons, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
In the drawing the figure is a face view of a spoon, showing my design.
The leading feature of my design consists in the configuration of the shank of the hill]- dle and the figure mounted thereon.
The handle-shank A has its side edges curved inward toward its middle, presenting a widened appearance at both ends, the upper end presenting at a the appearance of a pedestal-top. Near the lower edge of the shank its edge curves outward to points a, whence in wanlly-curved lines (L2 extend to and merge in the outlines of the bowl. Within this bowl is produced at B the representation of a church among trees.
The figure 0, represented as standing upon I RICHARD E. ACTON.
