Be it known that we, LOUIS l). BAITINeER and THOMAS H. BERKLEY, ofthe city of St. Louis, State of Missouri, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Hinge Member, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part hereof.
Figure l is a view in perspective of a hinge mem ber embodying our new design. Fig. 2 is a plan view 'of the member seen in Fig. 1. Fig. 3 is a. side elevation of the member.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of our design consists of a rectangular plate l, in which is formed a plurality of apertures 2, and integral with and extending laterally from the lower portion of one edge of the rectangular plate 1 is a gradually-tapered arm 3, integral with the top edge of which is a rectangular body 4, and integral with the outer portion of said arm 3 and body 4 is the elongated rounded body 5,
' the outer end G of which is extended upwardly and terminates in a semiciroular lug 7. Passing vertically through the body 5 is a circular opening 8, and integral with the top of said body 5 and bounding said opening 8 is the vertically-extending semicircniar Iiange 9. Integral with and projecting laterally from the center of the arm 3 is a plate 10, in which is formed a pluralit)r of perforations 11, and at the point Where this plate l() joins with the plate l is a vertically-arranged rib 12, the same having a convex surface.
We claim The design for a hinge member, substantiallyr as herein shown and described.
