SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,516, dated May 19, 1896.

Application filed April 15, 1896. Serial No, 587,733. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, CHARLES ED\\'ARD HA v- ILAND, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Limoges, in the Republic of France, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Plate or other Article of a Table-Service, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part there of, in whieh- Figure l is a top View of a plate bearing my design, and Fig. 53 is a sectional View of a portion of same on the dotted line 9 l of Fig. 1.

The leading feature of my design consists of the ornamental form and configuration of the outer or edge portion of the plate or other article of a table-service, substantially as shown and described.

In the drawings, A designates the plate, around whose edge is the scalloped ornamental border 11, having at its inner edge the ornamental scalloped scroll t, from which the sides en rve inward and downward in concave scallops D. :5
