DESIGN FOR A SHOE-PLATE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,537, dated May 3, 1898.

Application filed October 6, 1897. Serial No. 654,294. Term of patent 14 years.

To all whom it may concern:

-Be it known that I, MANSFIELD M. WEST, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cleveland, in the county of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented a new and original Design for Shoe-Plates, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to a new and original design for a shoe-plate; and it has for its object to provide a design of this character that shall be both useful and ornamental.

The leading feature of the design resides in a flat triangular body having two of its edges straight and its remaining edge curved and convexed, said plate being further provided with flattened corners and right-angularly-disposed spurs projected from said corners.

In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of a shoe-plate embodying the hereindescribed design from the reverse side thereof. Fig. 2 is a plan view thereof. Referring to the drawings, the numeral designates a flat triangular body or plate having oppositely-located straight edges 2, while the remaining edge 3 is curved and convexed. The said plate or body is further provided with flattened corners 4 and with right-angularlydisposed spurs 5, projected from said corners.

What I claim is- The design for a shoe-plate herein shown and described.
