UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
DESIGN FOR A LEVER-HANDLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,036, dated May 11, 1897.
Application filed January 27, 1897. Serial No. 620.990. Term of patent 3 years.
To a 10. mm, it "my concern:
130 it known that Linux .Umcnsox. a citizen of the United States, residing at Moline, in the county of Rock Island and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Lever-Handle, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, showing the form of construction.
Figure l is a top view of a lever-handle, showing my design; Fig. 2, an edge view of same; Fig. 3, a longitudinal section, and Fig. 4 a perspective view.
The lever is provided with a hub, as shown :5 in Fig. 4, which may be used as a tail-nut or eccentric, as desired. One side of the lever is even with one end of the hub, and this I will designate as the top side." The top side of the lever has a flat surface extending f romthe hub to the end thereof, except where there -is a raised figure, as hereinafter described. The edges of the lever, which bring the surfaces at'right angles with the top side,
are curved inward near the huh, then outward until near the cmhwhich terminates in a semicircular shape, as shown in Fig. l, the widest part of the handle being at the center of the semicircle. ()n the flat surface of the upper side of the lever and inside the lines of the semicircle is set the raised figure of a crescent, as shown in Figs. 1 and l, and also in section in Fig. 3.
What I claim is The design for a lever-handle, attached to a hub, the top side being even with one end of the hub, and having a flat surface on the top side, the edges curved inward from the hub, then outward to the cent-er of a semi circle which forms the end of the lever, provided with the raised figure of a crescent set on the top fiat surface and inside the lines of the semicircle, all as shown and described.
