DESIGN FOR A CUTTING-PLATE FOR HAIR-CLIPPERS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,421, dated March 29, 1898.
Application filed January 19, 1898. Serial No. 667,173. Term of patent 7 years.
To (LU whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, CHARLES II. REDMAN, Jr., a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cutting-Plates of Hair-Clippers, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanyingdrawings,showingapart thereof.
Figure 1 is a rear perspective View of the cutting-plate of a pair of hair-clippers embodying my design, and Fig. 2 is an enlarged section on the line 2 2 of Fig. 1.
The leading feature of my design consists of a concavity at the under side of the under cutting-plate of the clippers, which concavity extends from side to side of the same and into the teeth.
0 indicates the teeth projecting from the cutting-plate l3. At the back or under side of the plate B the same is concaved or do pressed at C, such concavity extending partially into the teeth and partially into the body of the said plate. As shown in Fig. 1, the concavityextends approximately through the width of the plate.
\Vhat I claim as new is- The design for a cutting-plate for hair-clippers, as herein shown and described.
