DESIGN FOR A RElN-GUARD.
T0 at whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, WILLIAM E. DIPPERT,
a citizen of the United States of America, and
a resident of Des Moines, in the county of Polk and State of Iowa, have originated and produced a Design for Rein-Guards, of which the following is a specification.
The object of this invention is to provide a new, original, and useful design for reinguards whereby such is formed With a main bar, a supporting-stem at the center of the main bar and terminating in a double loop, and rings at the ends of the main bar, the aXis of the supporting-loop being at right angles to the axes of the rings at the ends of the main bar.
The invention consists in the design for reinguards hereinafter described, pointed out in my claim, and illustrated by the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is an elevation of the complete design. Fig. 2 is a vertical section on the indicated line 2 2 of Fig. 1.
In the design the numeral 10 designates a main bar curved on opposite sides of its center 11 and terminating at its ends in rings 12 13. A supporting-stem let extends from the center of the main bar and is provided with a double loop, the members of which are designated by the numerals 15 1G. The mem ber 15 of the loop is larger than the member 16 of the loop, and the members are connected by a narrow passage-way 17, provided at the point of jointure thereof with each other.
The aXes of the loops 15 16 are at right angles to the axes of the rings 12 13.
I claim as my invention The design for a rein-guard substantially as herein shown and described.
