Be it known that I, JAMES l). Figure 1, a plan view of the vessel; Fig. 2, 1 a vertical central section thereof.
This invention relates to a design for the ornamentation of glass vessels; and the de l sign consists in the configuration and ornamentation as shown in the accompanying i illustrations. 1
As herein shown, the design consists of a seven-pointed star A, radiating from a smaller l central star 1;, which forms the center of the underside of the vessel. At the apex of each point of the star A its outlining grooves converge, then gradually expand upwardly, then i i l l inwardly, forming an elongated lobe-shaped ornament C, the converging lines at the upper surface of the vessel forming a deep scallopD in the uppereonfiguration thereof. The surface of the lobe-shaped ornament C, as well as the spaces inclosed by the grooves forming the points of the star A, are filled by I hatched ornamentation E.
The spaces between the lobe-shaped ornaments are filled with ornate stars F along the upper surface of the vessel, while small fanlike ornaments G fill the spaces between the points of the star A, all as shown in the accompanying illustrations.
I elaim-- The design fora glass vessel as herein shown and dcseri bed.
In testimony whereof I have signed this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
