To @ZZ whom, t may concern.-
Be it known th at I, AUGUST WILHELM HEIN- RICH WoIzEsKI, a citizen of the United States, residing at Bloomington, in. the county of Mc- Lean and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for Rakes; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
My invention has relation to a design for a garden-rake. It relates to the entire coniiguration of the rake.
My invention relates particularly to a rake, as illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure l is a perspective view of a rake embodying my design, and Fig. 2 is a transverse cylindrical shank, which extends centrally from the cylindrical cross-rod 3, arranged at a right angle to said shank, and 4 4 represent a series of sockets mounted on said cross-rod 3. Each socket is provided with a blade 5, curved at its outer end and terminating in a diamond-pointed shovel-tooth 6. The under longitudinal edge of the blades terminates in a knife-edge, as shown in Fig. 2, and the whole series is arranged in parallel lines and at a right angle to the cross-rod 3.
Having thus fully described my design, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is-
The design for a garden-rake, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I hereunto afX my signature in presence of two witnesses.
